Playa Pacific is nestled inside Culver City, a charming place with a small-town feel, yet the rich offerings of a big city.  Close to LAX, the beaches, west side, South Bay and downtown LA, with easy access to the 405, 90 and 10 freeways, Culver City’s convenience is unbeatable.

Culver City has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, making it a major entertainment, dining and shopping destination in its own right.  Playa Pacific is minutes from some of the hottest restaurants in Los Angeles, theaters, art galleries, concert halls and great outdoor parks.

A short walk from Playa Pacific is the Westfield Shopping Center.  After recently undergoing a $180 million renovation, it has introduced fantastic new shops, inviting restaurants and a new dining terrace.  And the boutique aficionado can shop to her heart’s content in downtown Culver City. For everyday needs, traditional grocery store options abound, and, within walking distance, a Sprouts Farmers Market will open in 2010.  Target, Trader Joe’s and Costco are minutes away.  Culver City hosts a weekly farmers’ market in downtown Culver City.

Culver City has excellent public schools, rated among the best in LA.  In addition, Culver City residents have the outstanding, unique opportunity to have their kids attend El Marino Language School, a public elementary school with Spanish and Japanese Immersion Programs.  El Marino was awarded the prestigious Blue Ribbon award, considered the highest honor an American school can achieve.  The performance record of all Culver City public schools makes this a coveted school district.

As a separate municipality from Los Angeles, Culver City has its own fire and police departments, typically enabling quicker response times, and a community response team, the Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT).   Unlike some other areas nearby, there is no Mello-Roos Tax in Playa Pacific, making property taxes more affordable.
